Care for equine eye diseases and ocular emergencies
Our veterinarians are experienced in the management of ocular (eye) infections; immune-mediated, corneal, and uveal diseases; glaucoma; and equine eye conditions requiring surgical care. BEMC is well-equipped with all necessary advanced ophthalmology equipment, which includes a Heine hand-held slit lamp biomicroscope, a Tono-Pen tonometer, direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, and specialized ophthalmic surgical instruments. We also carry equine contact lenses for non-healing corneal ulcers.
