Intern Veterinarian

Dr. Christian Smith was born and raised in Los Angeles, where her lifelong passion for horses began through childhood summer camps and time spent at local stables. She continued to pursue this interest during her undergraduate years at Amherst College, where she competed on the school’s equestrian team.

Dr. Smith earned her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis. During her time there, she served as a student ambassador, treasurer of the AAEP student chapter, and was a founding member of the university’s chapter of the National Association for Black Veterinarians.

With a strong interest in integrative and holistic medicine, Dr. Smith has completed a mixed-animal acupuncture course through Chi University and plans to pursue certification in veterinary chiropractic care in the future. She is excited to join Bend Equine, where she looks forward to further developing her expertise in emergency and critical care, surgery, and internal medicine.
