Veterinary Assistant

Kate was born and raised in Southern California and began riding horses at the age of four. As a youth, she competed in multiple disciplines showing Arabian horses at a national level. Her passion for animals, especially horses, inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Throughout her career she has worked as a technician for an equine ambulatory practice, an equine emergency hospital, and a zoo and wildlife rehabilitation facility before joining the team at BEMC. She also holds a certification in Wildlife Capture and Chemical Restraint, reflecting her specialized education and experience in safely caring for wildlife. Kate has a special interest in anesthesia and aspires to earn her VTS in equine veterinary nursing.
