Intern Veterinarian

Dr. Kristen Stucker grew up in Iowa riding and showing American Saddlebreds. Before attending veterinary school at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), Dr. Stucker worked as a seasonal veterinary assistant at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington, Kentucky.

During her time at UC Davis, Dr. Stucker volunteered with disaster response groups for the 2020 and 2021 wildfire seasons. She continued her work in disaster response and emergency preparedness as the UC Davis Veterinary Teaching Hospital disaster response team coordinator.

She traveled to both coasts during her externship experiences, visiting clinics such as Rhinebeck Equine, in New York, and Littleton Equine Medical Center, in Colorado, and Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, in California. Dr. Stucker looks forward to learning more about internal medicine, reproduction, and emergency and critical care while at BEMC. 

As an undergrad, Dr. Stucker played Division 1 volleyball. She enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and maintaining her volleyball skills in her free time. She moved to Central Oregon with her cat, Meredith, and Husky mix, Ezra.
