Garrett grew up in Prineville, where he spent time with horses and worked on a cattle ranch. He started at BEMC in 2022 as a maintenance technician, helping keep our facilities and equipment in tip-top shape. He can fix anything from paddock fences to hoists that move sedated horses to the washing machine needed to keep our towels, scrubs, and linens clean.
Once he joined us and saw our veterinarians, technicians, and assistants in action, Garrett also discovered an interest in veterinary medicine. He has since moved into a dual role encompassing veterinary assistance and facility maintenance. He enjoys the spontaneity of working with horses, as well as supporting owners in times of need and uncertainty.
Outside work, he enjoys birdwatching, viewing wildlife, and working on projects in his shop.
