Dr. Sabrina Cooper originally hails from San Rafael, California, where she grew up participating in gymkhanas, rodeos, and team penning. She earned her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, in St. Kitts, and received her clinical training at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, in Manhattan. She later completed a yearlong internship at Idaho Equine Hospital, in Nampa, with a focus on medicine, surgery, comprehensive preventive care, and urgent/emergency care.

Dr. Cooper holds an American Veterinary Chiropractic Association certification and has also studied veterinary acupuncture. She enjoys preventive medicine, intensive care work, and incorporating integrative therapies with Western medicine. She also participates in a yearly mission trip to the Navajo Nation in Arizona through Christian Veterinary Mission.

She met her husband, Sean, while they were undergraduate students at the University of Idaho in Moscow, and he joined her as she chased her dream of becoming an equine veterinarian. They’re excited about their new adventure living in Central Oregon, where Dr. Cooper is especially looking forward to exploring the Cascades with her Quarter Horse gelding, Sundown.
